HIDLAMP
Lamp Design
HID bulbs, Acrylic
The gorgeous appearances of products have become more and more desirable than the concepts and engineering designs inside of the products during these decades. We tended to present ourselves better, and the same way that we presented our products on the markets. What would we see if we cut open our products? As a designer, I believed the mechanical engineering designs inside of the products are as fantastic as the appearances. To imagine the inner of a product by shedding its layers of illusions is the way that we find its core value and fascination.
Started with this concept, HIDLAMP was developed to a HID lighting with inner illuminated mechanisms and a solid cover. The external dark acrylic part was a symbol of shelter which concealed the character of the product, and the internal transparent acrylic mechanisms represented the core value of the product.
